Let all things be done decently and in order
1 Corinthians 14:40
What to expect
Services begin with congregational singing and prayer, followed by the preaching of the Word. On Tuesday evenings we meet for prayer, and on Thursdays we gather again for the midweek service.
You do not need to bring anything except a Bible if you have one. If you would like to speak with the pastor, ask any of the ushers.
When we meet
Sunday Morning Service: 10:00 am
Tuesday Prayer Meeting: 7:30 pm
Thursday Midweek Service: 7:30 pm
270 Franklin Ave
Malverne, NY 11565
Order in the house of God
When the pastor calls a prayer line, those who want prayer for healing or other needs come forward as directed by the ushers. We believe God heals today (Mark 16:17–18; James 5:14–15). Please wait to be called and come in faith.
The Lord’s Supper and footwashing are kept together, as Jesus did with His disciples (John 13; 1 Corinthians 11:23–34). These services are announced ahead of time. Unleavened bread and wine are taken by believers who have been baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Men and women wash feet separately.
We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, and that they must operate in order (1 Corinthians 14). Messages in tongues are given before or after the preaching, not during it, and must be interpreted. “Let all things be done unto edifying” (1 Corinthians 14:26). Anything given is judged by the Word.
The sanctuary is a place of worship. Please keep conversation outside the auditorium, silence phones, and keep children with you or in the Sunday school classes provided.
Fellowship guidelines
We do not see holiness as a set of rules to earn salvation. It is the fruit of a life that has been changed by the Word. These are the standards the assembly holds:
- Modesty. Dress that honours the Lord. Women in modest dresses or skirts, with long hair; men with short hair (1 Timothy 2:9; 1 Corinthians 11:14–15; Deuteronomy 22:5).
- Holy living. Separation from the world, its entertainment and its habits (2 Corinthians 6:17; 1 John 2:15–16).
- Marriage and home. Marriage as God ordained it in the beginning, and homes that put Christ first (Matthew 19:4–8; Ephesians 5:22–33).
- Conduct. Kindness, honesty and respect toward one another and toward visitors (Galatians 5:22–23).
Visitors are welcome as they are. Nobody will be turned away at the door.
